Not updating address on driving license

Nevada issues licenses that comply with the federal Real ID Act of 2005.

If you currently have a standard license and you complete your address change online or by mail/fax, your new license or ID will be marked "NOT FOR FEDERAL OFFICIAL USE." See The Real ID Act in Nevada for more information.

To change address you do not need an online account.

You can change address by simply providing your Driver Licence or Photo Card details to us, simply select the "Your details" option to proceed with these details.

Keeping your address current with us is important as we mail your renewal notices.



Please Note: When you move home, you must notify Roads and Maritime Services of your updated home address within 14 days. Address changes on Commercial Driver Licenses must be completed in person.See DMV offices and review the Real ID information below.Nevada law requires motorists to notify DMV of a change of address within 30 days of the move, including residents who are leaving the state permanently.

If you wish to obtain a first-time Real ID license or ID card, you must visit a DMV office and submit proof of identity and address.

If your card is already a Real ID, you may use any option.
