Zamora comes from a family of eye care professionals- her father, who practiced optometry for over 35 years; her sister, an ophthalmologist; and another sister who is an optometrist. Zamora has lived in the Austin area since 1985 and has been involved in eye care for over 27 years. He was involved in ophthalmic technical training for over 14 years and taught courses for certified ophthalmic personnel extensively throughout Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. Zamora received the University of Texas Achievement Award and was the recipient of the University of Houston Graduate Fellowship Award.
He is the co-founder of Advanced Eye Care & Surgery, the past optometric director of refractive surgery for the largest eye care practice in Austin, the past Clinical Director for Dell Laser Consultants in Austin, and has co-managed over 5,000 refractive surgery cases.
