There’s a bit of a commotion going on in the hotel suite where Davina Mc Call is waiting to chat to us.

I have to admit, I did go slightly into mourning when I thought I couldn’t have any more children, but I now feel I am being reborn as a woman," she adds."When things get tough, or you’re really cold, and you’ve been on a skidoo for eight hours and you’re just exhausted or numb, or you’ve been frightened about something and you want to share it – and quite often we’re in really remote places and you can’t get hold of anyone or it’s the wrong time zone..." she rants. "I’m peri-menopausal at the moment and I think people need to talk about the menopause because it’s still such a taboo subject. "It’s an interesting feeling, it’s quite powerful in a way. " With a natural, chatty, bubbly personality, it’s easy to see why Davina, currently hosting C4’s The Jump, has had such a successful career over the last 24 years.
